Notes

Uses one strand of each color held together. Had to go down a needle size to get gauge, so I’m knitting the main part of the body on 4.0mm needles, and the ribbing and pattern stitch on 3.75mm needles.

The collar was knit on 3.25 mm and 3.00 mm needles. I used the Estonian lace bindoff, because otherwise the neck opening was too small to get my head through.

Hardly used any of the 3rd ball of each color, even with it being an inch longer. I could easily have made a short-sleeved version (maybe even 3/4 sleeves) with 2 balls of each color.

No modifications except to make it an inch longer. Love it! Can wear with just a tank or camisole under it when the weather is warmer, or over a long-sleeved tee for cooler weather.

I like the yarn. It’s certainly not as nice a yarn as Kidsilk Haze or Douceur et Soie, but it looks nice and is comfortable enough to wear next to the skin.

Errata:

For the pattern chart, there are two stitches on the chart that aren’t in the legend (the 3-into-1 symbols that are in the first and last columns of the chart). Although you can just use the center double decrease that’s in the legend (slip 2 knitwise, k1, pass 2 slipped stitches over stitch just knitted), the symbol for the stitch in column 1 is a double-left-slanting-decrease, and the symbol in column 73 is a double-right-slanting-decrease. You can find the symbols and directions here.

I also discovered that on the setup row (row 1 of the chart), the symbol in column 1 should be:
“\” (slip 1, knit1, pass slipped stitch over)
and the symbol in column 73 should be:
“/” (knit 2 together)
Otherwise, you won’t have the right number of stitches to complete the pattern correctly for that row.

The number of stitches to be reduced on each side of the sleeve cap should be 33, not 13 as indicated on the chart. (Error is only on the English version, the Japanese version is correct.)
