I wanted a thinner white strip at the hem, so only did the first 3 rows in white, instead of the entire garter stitch section.

A circular needle would be really useful for this project, even if worked flat - all I had were DPNs, and there are so many stitches in the skirt that the stitches kept falling off the ends of the needles.
