The scarf is knit from yarn handspun by Margene. I think it’s lovely and worked well with this pattern. It was a pleasure to knit with – very elastic and squishy. Of course, it should be nice since it’s merino (and nylon). I do love that merino.

Since it’s knit sideways, it’s great for using up slightly different amounts of yarn since you can use your trusty digital scale to knit to the halfway point of your yarn before decreasing. I worked an extra 4 center repeats before decreasing, and ended up with 2 grams of yarn left over.

As the pattern says, the scarf needs to be blocked to reach an appropriate length. Since it’s all garter stitch, it will grow lengthwise quite a bit.

Measured 42” before blocking, measures 56” after blocking. (Not pinned out - just soaked and laid out to dry. It was about 60” when wet.)
