Skipped the cable to just make a plain pullover.

To get correct gauge, I am using US10.5/6.5mm needles for the body, and US10/6mm for the ribbing.

Planned modifications:

Knit in the round to the armholes to avoid bulky side seams.

Add 3” of length to the body.

Only 4 rows ribbing for the neckband.

For the sleeves, knit them the same way as the other sweater I made from this pattern: Cast on 32 sts, work ribbing for 10 rounds. Then increase starting with 20th round after the ribbing, and increase on the following 6th, 12th, 6th, 22nd, and 8th rounds. Work 10 more rounds before starting bind-offs, then finish cap as per pattern. NOTE: I only did 3 more rounds before the bindoffs on the first sweater. I did 10 on this one partly because my row gauge seemed a little tighter, and partly because I wanted the sleeves a little longer. However, now I think they’re slightly too long. Probably 6 or 7 rounds would have been better for my arm length.

This is a nice, easy-care yarn, and it’s relatively soft for an acrylic/wool blend. I don’t think anyone would ever think it’s anything other than acrylic, but for what it is, it’s nice. It’s very lightweight for being a bulky yarn, and the resulting sweater is not as hot to wear as wool would be. Although I wouldn’t rate it as a favorite yarn to use overall out of all yarns, for the type of yarn it is (acrylic/wool bulky yarn), I think it’s above average.
