I wanted a summer hat that was easily packable, and would help shade my face.

It only took one evening to make!

Although this hat came out pretty well, and fits my small head, it’s really too thick and heavy for a summer hat, and the brim isn’t really big enough to shade my face from the sun.

It’s a nice pattern, but it isn’t really quite what I wanted. It would be fine for cold weather, or if it were made in a lighter-weight yarn than what I used - the Bomull-Lin is quite dense.

I might end up ripping this one out and reusing the yarn to make a different hat pattern.
