Notes

Used the no-turn knitting backwards method.

Used larger needles for a softer, drapier result.

Cast on 32 for a wider scarf (four 8-stitch diamonds), and just worked until I’d used up all the yarn.

Used a crochet cast-on, so that it would match the bind-off better.

Worked the edge stitches in stockinette instead of garter.

Picked up stitches through the back loops only - that makes the scarf flatter, with less noticeable ridges on the back. I normally like the more textural quality of the ridges, but since it’s a scarf and the reverse side will sometimes show, I thought it would be a little better this way. The last photo shows the reverse side of the scarf.

Finished dimensions (unblocked): 10” x 90”.
