Two lessons:
- Do not make this pattern out of very dark yarn.
- Do not make this pattern out of very furry yarn.
The dark yarn makes it hard to see the details of the shape, and so does very fuzzy/furry yarn. Between the two, I had an unidentifiable blob of brown fur that looked more like a dead rat than a bunny.
I left it unstuffed, and it became a bear skin rug for my Barbie dolls.

Then I had the idea to make a knitted bunny with some dark brown angora yarn that I got in a yarn swap years ago. (Heh. Making a knitted bunny out of angora. The irony of it.) I knit my washcloth-sized square of fabric, and then attempted to turn it into a bunny. But the extreme furriness of the yarn, combined with the very dark color, made it look more like a dead rat.
Even worse were the flashbacks to my high school biology class in which we dissected muskrats.
I threw my knitted dead rat skin into the trash. Then retrieved it to use it as a bear skin rug for Barbie and Ken.
