Notes

Used about 16 grams of worsted-weight yarn for the sweater, and just a tiny amount of the white yarn for the mittens. It took about 2 hours to do the knitting.

I did one less row of ribbing at the top, so that the top edge of the sweater wouldn’t interfere with drinking.

Just need to get the hooks to put on the mittens.

The worsted-weight yarn worked out fine, but I think I might add 2 stitches next time. To fit some of my larger mugs, I’d probably have to add 4 stitches.

Next time: Instead of putting the second sleeve directly opposite the first one, I would set it a few rows towards the back, to match where the one next to the handle sits.

I’d also consider making it so that the handle is on the left as you look at it (for right-handed people), so that the arms aren’t in the way as you drink from the mug. But of course, that means the cute side would face away from you as you use it.

The mittens just happen to be exactly the right size for a Barbie doll.
