Made a combo of the two styles by knitting the reverse-stockinette square in the front, and making a slit above it (bind off sts then cast them back on for the next row). This made sort of a kangaroo-pouch.

Started with 28 sts (increasing to 32), and used loops for attaching to the fence with cup hooks, like my first project.
