Notes

Perfect pattern! The small gusset at the top of the thumb opening is brilliant, and really makes for a great fit. I may have to do this on all future mittens and gloves.

The ribbing allows for a good fit on a variety of hand sizes, too, so it’s an excellent pattern for gift-giving. Not that I’m giving these away!

I used the Twisted German cast-on, which looks very nice with the 2x2 ribbing.

I did the full-rib version, and knit 2 extra rows at the top for a little more finger coverage.

This was my first time using madelinetosh yarn, and it’s dreamy.

There’s quite a bit of yarn left over if you just make one pair of mitts from one skein - I was able to get 3 pair of mitts from 2 skeins of yarn. Just barely!
