I seamed it a little farther along the hat than the pattern said, but left it open enough so that I could tie it around my ponytail if I want.

I think it’s cute with it untied, as well as with it tied and having the tie in the back, or just behind one ear.

I was a little short on yardage, so I only made the ties 10”. I might have been able to do the full 12” on the ties, but it would have been pretty close. I had 4 grams of yarn left over.

The yarn is very squishy and soft and lovely. I do get a very slight itchiness from it, as I do from Alpaca. I probably wouldn’t want it around my neck, but it’s OK as a hat. But if Alpaca doesn’t bother you, then this probably won’t, either. On my hands, it’s just heavenly.
