Notes

So really, this was a dual intention project - one, to use this yarn because by gum I was NOT going to let it get the best of me and two, I had heard about the fish lips kiss heel and wanted to try it. I really think it worked out well, and the heel works nicely. It’s efficient with yarn, it’s disgustingly easy and rather autopilot-y.

I’ll be adjusting some of the dimensions a bit - I need to move forward the line where one starts the heel. I still got a decently fitting sock but I like mine a smidge snugger in length than I got. For future efforts, I’m probably going to try a more snug fit in circumference, too, but that’s why I chose a ribbed pattern for this - there’s a lot of forgiveness to be had in miles of ribbing. I really feel that’s just a result of having never worked with this method before and that you’re going to have small fine tuning adjustments to adjust to a custom fit for your foot, regardless.

The Woven Rib pattern is just a 3 x 3 rib that caught my eye while leafing through the listed stitch dictionary. It was easy to work, not completely but almost autopilot knitting. All in all, pleased.

Incidentally, “Nōminī huic” is my poor Latin for “Name Goes Here.”
