this is the top sample priority right now…all others are on hold. The yarn is fun. I’ve knit with Trekking before and I really enjoy it. The handart has short color repeats (color change about every 4-6 stitches) so it works really well for plain-vanilla socks and for lace socks. I decided to go for Devon instead of the standard plain sock because I thought the pattern would show off the color to it’s best advantage, and I just love Cookie A patterns! This is my 5th pair from her book (although I’m in progress on one, not counting these). I’d say I’ve gotten my money’s worth from it. Oh, and did I mention that I’ve knit at least three other pairs of Cookie A socks? I guess I’m a fan :)

4/17/10 I finished the leg, and worked the heel set up rounds. this pattern really pays attention to the details and I love that. working the heel flap now.

4/24/10 the sock is finished, and on the model :) Decent photos to come soon.
