Saw something simular on one of my Ravelry searches done in sport weight. Remembered my box of hand edged handkerchiefs from childhood, wanted to make something simular but in a finer gage. Aunt Lydia’s is a weight one

Made a 8 inch square knitting. Cast on 3, increase in 2nd stitch every row until desired size. I had 84 stitches

Decrease by knitting 2nd and 3rd stitch of every row together until 3 stitches remain

Got out my Mother’s old crochet patterns for handkerchief edges and picked one and did edge in contrast color. Had to fiddle a little to make it fit. I don’t really crochet so don’t look close.
