Sept 12 2018 - Ripped everything out and started over.

Sept 25 ‘09 - Casting on for this only 1-1/4 yrs after buying the kit! We are given a choice of making a garter stitch diamond for the start, or a garter stitch square. I am making the garter stitch square, and using a waste yarn cast-on so I won’t have a solid cast-on edge later on when picking up stitches around.

Oct 19 ‘09 - Picked this up again after knitting another Not-Quite-Straight scarf; working from Row 40 of garter stitch square center.

Oct 23 ‘09 - First skein (25 grams/ 185 yards) made it almost all the way through the center square - 81 stitches, 137 rows (25 rows left before I pick up around the outside)

Feb 16, 2017 - Found this again and I am going to try to work on it.

Dec 24 ‘09 - messed up somewhere in 1st row (after picking up around all 4 sides & knitting “setup” row). This morning I ripped back to the center square (after trying to tink back several times & getting the wrong count every time), picked up around the center square again, and placed lots of markers. I think one of the things I was doing wrong was that I did not have the corner stitches marked separately. They need to be treated separately, they’re not part of the next or previous row.

Oct 8, 2010 - Picked this up again today, finished Row 1 & counts came out right!
