I shunned the possible yarn above in favour of something superwash. :)

My plan is to knit mitred squares in an ever-enlongening diagonal line, and when there’s 75-80g left I start making it narrower again. It should create a gradient-squares square blanket??

90g left, 70g used so far, 9 squares done, so that’s 8g per square.

That means I have enough yarn left for 11 squares, or 20 total. Looks like this will be a 5x4 squares blanket. :)

I’ve finished the knitting and sewing in, so I just need to block it, I think! I’ll take a photo before and after blocking because that’s always magic.

Took me a while to block it, but I posted this to Fran and Dave before Christmas and Fran loves it. :) It took ages because I couldn’t find my blocking pins; eventually I gave up and bought more!
