Finished the main part of the hat, but found it was too large, so frogging back to band and redoing with size H hook.

Finished.

So, as I planned back when I made the first hat, I went with 4 sections before decreasing. I used an H hook for most of it until the last 2 rows.

The hat is still a little too large for my tiny head, but I’ll just deal with it.

ALL MODS

Completed 72 rows for band.

After joining band, did 1 row of single crochet in contrast color.

Did repeat section 4 times before decreasing. (36 stitches at end)

After decreasing, starting with HDC round and using G hook: HDC x 4, DEC around (30 stitches)

Final row: HDC x 3, DEC around (24 stitches)

Bow: Used G hook.

FUTURE

Band is too wide. Next time use only 5 stitches in each row.

Maybe only repeat cable section 3 times and use I hook as directed. Use decrease rows as above.
