Testknitting for Leethal… Beautiful pattern for my ‘Prize Winner’ yarn (for my Templeton Square Tire Cozy from Knitty and Cascade). Deadline is July 10!
No idea how much yarn this will take… Got most of the top yoke done with 1st skein (191).
Lots of mindless knitting now that I’ve got the cabled yoke insert done… Hopefully I won’t regret making this for me, instead of my skinnier daughters… I. Will. Perservere.

8 inches done… 955 yards, so far… probably a couple more skeins… about 1100-1300 yards total for a less peek-a-boo version than probably intended. Yummy yarn and perfect for summer top - a shame it’s been discontinued. Guess I need to be thinking about buttons now. Hmmm.

Finished! Bought some lovely pewter/silver buttons and now waiting for wet-blocking to dry for final photos (selfie above is before bottom band and buttons… see the orange stitch markers! Opted not to do pockets… just ran out of time and yarn. Going to REALLY enjoy wearing this beautiful (and flattering) sweater! Thanks for letting me play, Lee!

Decided to sew together the shoulder seam due to ‘gappage’ in between buttons (in part due to heavy weight of the yarn, I expect). Arm holes also saggy under the arms - a t-shirt is necessary, in spite of my good intentions.
