Alternating Dark Gray sock yarn with lace-weight handspun with stunning effect. For Rows 1-2, using same color as rows 11-16 to alternate each segment.

Made this laceweight long color-change yarn from small roving grab bag from the Scrap exchange. Could only do a few rows at a time before I became frustrated… stitch markers helped me keep track of the center points of the ‘lobes’. Using wool instead of cotton was better (stretchier and more forgiving) AND worse (not as ‘crisp’ for visualizing where previous rows/stitches were)… but I think end result is very cool. This is such an amazing pattern - really highlights the handspun to its best advantage.
