I couldn’t be more pleased with how this turned out. I wanted to use what I already had in my yarn stash, so I used worsted weight as opposed to the DK weight that the pattern calls for. It worked out perfectly, as my doll just turned out slightly larger than the one on the pattern.

I really wanted to stitch eyelashes on the eyes, but I forgot to do it before I attached the eyes (I’m new at the eyes thing), and since the backing to the eyeballs is a wide disc shape, I couldn’t get the needle through. I’ll remember that when I do my next one.

I ran into a little bit of difficulty when stitching the legs together at the top base to create the body. The pattern is written just fine for that, but this was my first time doing something like this. After reading that part of the pattern a few times and giving it a try, it all made sense.

This was one of those projects that you can see progress while working up, and I didn’t want to put it down. It took me approximately 10 hours to finish. It was time well spent
