Pattern calls for size E hook. Of course, I couldn’t find mine, so I used a size F which was still a good choice. I also didn’t have light worsted weight for the pink part, so I used regular worsted and omitted the last round of the inside peice so that it would still fit snuggly inside of the whales head. I also made my chain a little longer for the loops to cover the buttons.

If your a beginner, you might be a little thrown off at first, the pattern calls for Rows, but the project is actually worked in rounds. However, I’d like to add that this was such a fun project and worked up very quickly in less than 2 hours.
