Notes

Final Count-186 hexagons, 4 rows of border, approx. 1,496 ends to weave….

The last picture is of a roof I saw in Cape May, it’s the ultimate hexagon.

3/11/09-Finished!!! I don’t know how I will give this away because I confess that I’ve fallen in love with it. For the border I did a row of DC in oatmeal, a row of DC in the opposite direction in green, a row of chain 5 SC into every third stitch (pink) and then a chain 4 sc into the ch5 loops (green). I was having curling issues until I gave up on the shell stitch border I had planned. I’m very happy with the border this way. I’m thinking about colors for the next one!!!

2/26/09-The yarn is dwindling down and it almost makes me sad to see. I’m going to do one more row and I think that will be it. I’m starting to think about the border. I have 2 skeins of oatmeal. The first round will be double crochet and then I’ll experiment.

Lots of color. This is meant as a gift for my niece, she starts college in the fall. At first I hated how the colors looked, but they just somehow come together. Will add an oatmeal border when complete.
