I cannot believe I finished this thing in ten days! TEN DAYS!!! I feel like a freak of nature. I feel like a knitting god! Not only did I finish a lace shawl in ten days, but it looks good too! I am sorry for all the exclamation points, but I am just so frickin excited! I think I will wear this with even more pride than Sweet Afton.

Also, on actual technical notes, once I adjusted to Clark’s style of pattern writing, it really wasn’t that hard to read her charts. The techniques were clearly described and her writing is very clear and easy to follow. Her chart work is the art of efficiency. She’s old school in all the best possible ways. I learned a lot from her.

I only did the prescribed 14 rows of buds, and a good thing too because I only had about 2 yards left over after binding off. The Rowan Fine Tweed knit up so nicely, I think I will just have to use it again. I plan on using their Aran tweed for a cardi for my mom’s birthday, and I’m super excited to play with it.

At the end of the day, I would do this pattern again.
