My New Year cast on. I’m also treble dipping. NaKniMitMo, a KAL over on Stranded, and one of my 12 12s (mittens).

To be fair, this is not my best stranded project ever. The mitts are a bit too big (though should felt down with wear to the right size), and my tension has changed dramatically since my last stranded project. Next time I’d use a 2.25mm needle. (In the past I should have gone up to a 2.75 or 3mm. Seriously.)

However, I loved the yarn. I love how the two transition colours worked together. I loved the pattern. I’d do it all again in a heartbeat… with fresh yarn, that is. I’m not prepared to frog them at this point.

I did mod the cuff by casting on 52 stitches and doing a 2x2 rib instead of a feather and fan cuff as suggested by the pattern. I also did the extra rows (as per the medium size) for extra length between the cuff and the thumb. I like long cuffs, and I can no lie.
