Oh, what can I say?… It’s one of those easy but brilliant patterns that everyone should knit at least once. I can’t believe I knit this in just one week! (yeah me) It might seem boring at first but actually you just keep saying to yourself “one more tooth!” (literally ;-D) So go on, now, what are you waiting for? Buy it and knit it!!

Oh la la, que dire? C’est un de ces modèles faciles mais absolument formidables que tout le monde devrait tricoter au moins un fois; J’ai du mal à croire que j’ai réussi à le tricoter en une semaine! (hourrah moi) On pourrait croire que ça va être ennuyeux mais en fait, on n’arrête pas de se dire “allez, encore une dent!” (si, si ;-D) Alors, qu’est-ce que vous attendez? Achetez-le et tricotez-le!!

Info:

• with the first ball of yarn, I made 21 teeth / la première pelote de laine m’a fait 21 dents;
• the second ball took me to 34 total / avec la deuxième, j’en ai 34 au total;
• I ran out if yarn on the last row 7 so took some leftover orange alpaca I had lying around and it matches the rest of the rainbow quite well, I like it anyway (and so does my eldest son!) / je n’ai pas eu assez de laine arc-en-ciel pour finir les deux derniers rangs, j’ai pris de l’alpaga orange qui va assez bien avec le reste, j’en suis contente (et mon fils aussi!);
• I like the fabric I’m getting using 3,5 mm needles with the Mochi yarn but I could have used 4mm with the Kambgarn to get the same / j’aime bien les aiguilles 3,5 avec la Mochi mais du coup, il m’aurait fallu des 4 pour l’autre laine et obtenir le même résultat (c’est un poil plus dense);
• as you can see, the scarf now belongs to my eldest son, I hope he won’t lose it! / comme vous le voyez sur la photo, l’écharpe est donc à mon grand, j’espère qu’il ne la perdra pas!
• I didn’t measure the scarf but it’s long enough to roll once around the neck and tie it (for me, DH or DS) / je n’ai pas mesuré mais l’écharpe est assez longue pour s’enrouler une fois et faire un noeud (que ce soit pour moi, mon mari ou pour mon fils)

Useful tips (at least, they helped me) / Trucs utiles (au moins pour moi):
- you always increase on the same side, the one opposite the teeth except on the 7th row;
On augmente toujours du même côté, celui opposé aux dents.
- following someone’s advice (can’t remember who, sorry, stitchnerd maybe…), I put a marker just between the kfb on the 1st row and it always DID tell me on which row I was. All you have to do is knit in the front of your stich, place your marker and then knit in the back of the stitch. You have one stitch before the marker so you’re on row 1, continue knitting as per pattern and you’ll have 2 st before the marker on row 2, 3 st on row 3 and so on. Brilliantly simple and easy!!
Comme lu quelque part (mais je ne saisplus chez qui, désolée), j’ai mis un marqueur à la première augmentation pour savoir sur quel rang j’étais, ça a marché à chaque fois. Il suffit de tricoter dans lebrin avant de la première maille, mettre le marqueur et tricoter ensuite dans le brin arrière. On a donc 1 maille avant le marqueur au rang 1, et en suivant le patron, on a ensuite 2 mailles au rang 2, 3 au rang 3 etc. Génialement simple et facile!!
