Martina Behm

My first real project was actually a dark blue sweater, pattern from a girls’ magazine. I was 12. No swatch, no experience, but it turned out well! Since then, I have been knitting now and then and re-started “seriously” in 2006. Now, knitting is my indicator of well-being: The better I feel, the more I want to knit. At times when I do not want to touch the needles, you should start worrying about me… I love circular needles and collect old German knitting magazines (Beyers Handarbeiten und Wäsche, Elsa).
In real life, I am a part-time freelance writer and mom of two.

Please check out my group (Strickmich) to post questions and discuss my patterns.

I am very excited to announce that I will be hosting Strickmich! Club (a pattern-and-yarn club) next year. The yarns are spectacularly and exclusively hand-dyed in Germany. I bet your favorite dyer is among them: http://www.strickmichclub.de
