With red, and US 4/3.5mm
Cast on 124 sts.
Work 8 rnds k1, p1 ribbing. (Just over an inch)

Switch to US 6/4.0mm

Setup Round: °k2tog, k27, k2tog° around (4 repeats)

Continue in pattern, working from chart.

Chart finished…starting crown. Even worked my ends in as I went…very encouraging. :-)

Crown:
Setup round: knit one round in black

Round 1: °ssk, knit to 2 sts before marker, k2tog° repeat from ° to ° 3 more times.

Round 2: knit

Repeat these two rounds until 12 sts remain.
Last round: °slip 1 k-wise, k2tog, psso° repeat from ° to ° 3 more times. 4 stitches remain.
Cut, and close up hole, weave in ends.
