Austin wanted a simple cozy to put on his water strong textbottle to keep everyone from taking his water. Just a simple ribbing with yarn containing greens, and charcoal and white would be up his alley..so here’s what I did.

Size: 3.5”C x 3.5”tall
Stretches to: 7”C x 3”tall

Gauge: 12sts x 12rnds = 1” in rib; unstretched

Cast on 48sts.
Every round:
(K2, P2, K4, P4) 4x
I worked 38 rounds

Use sewn bind off, weave in ends.
Voila! :-)

IMPORTANT NOTE
Next time, either use next needle size up to cast on OR
Cast on 56sts:
Rnd1: (K2, P1, P2tog, K4, P3, P2tog) 4x ……8sts decreased; 48sts remain.

Continue in pattern above· for 48st · until 1 round less than desired height:
Final rnd: (K2, P2, m1, K4, P4, m1) 4x ……8sts increased; 56sts remain.

Sew bind off
