Since I’d knit a Robben and he turned out so well, I also knit a Robin Van Persie for this year’s World Cup! (Sadly, I neglected to stitch the “V” right before the “Persie” on the back of his jersey, but we shall overlook this tiny error.)
The same modifications for making a stuffie and not a puppet were used on this guy.
Persie and his brethren all watched the World Cup with me and my family! I left him in the care of my mom when I went away to a week of volleyball camp in Michigan. She even took him to work once :-) My friend was also quite taken with him (although I think this might be an attraction to the real life player- :-P).
