I made the top part (owls and about 1 inch below) with a size 7 needles and switched to a 9 for the lower portion to make it balloon out a bit for some extra kicking room!

They’re 34 week preemies so this pattern fits pretty well. If they were full term though I think i’d make this larger…longer for sure, but maybe even a bit wider.

For the blue one I did a ribbed top rather than a rolled edge.
