I’m not the best when it comes to gauge but I tried size 7, 6 & 5 needles and couldn’t get the gauge but since I didn’t have size 4 dpns I decided to try my luck with size 5 figuring if I went any smaller than the needle would be too small for the thickness of the yarn. I measured my head but it was in between the medium and large so I went with the medium.

The pattern was really easy and relatively quick despite being mostly moss stitch. It’s a little on the big side but not too big. Hopefully it doesn’t stretch too much over time. Bella’s hat is more snug in the film (darn my gauge!).

The first 2 pictures show off the color better than the last which got a little bleached from the flash.

Oh, and definitely use the stitch markers! They are a lifesaver!
