Notes

Two color version of Hugo, knit on size 3.25 mm needle.

I knitted the first 8 rows of both legs using the blue yarn, then alternated gray & blue every 4 rows until the end.

Instead of using a three needle bind off, I used kitchener’s stitch to close the top of the head.

For both arms, I knitted the first 6 rows using the blue yarn, then alternated gray & blue until the end. Instead of binding off right away, I put the stuffing in and used a three needle bind of to close the arms shut before sewing them to the body.

I LOVE the finished monster, but I’m not a huge fan of the construction - I think it would work best to cast on from the top using Judy’s magic cast-on, then work your way down and finish with the legs. That way, you’d have only one seam instead of two and avoid the finicky separate leg work altogether.
