Notes

I used a very basic ripple pattern, crocheted entirely through the back loop. Here’s how to do it :

  • Chain a multiple of 14

  • “Ch 3, 2 DC in the 4th chain from the hook (counts as a 3DC; only do that for the start of each row, then do 3 DC for the repeats), 1 DC in each of the next 3 stitches, decrease by DC together the next 3 stitches, decrease again by DC together the next 3 stitches, 1 DC in each of the next 3 stitches, 3 DC in the next stitch” and repeat until you reach the end.

Repeat this simple row until you reach the desired length. By crocheting through the back loop, you’ll create an interesting texture that makes it as if the rows are sitting on top of each other, hence the “ripple” effect. By going under both loops, you’ll get a flat un-textured work, it’ll still look nice and you’ll still see the waves, but won’t feel the “ripple” effect.
