I’ve done this pattern once before and I still love it as much as I did the first time! It looks wonderful, and the changing color of the yarn really gives it a lot of depth and a refreshing air, just like a sea breeze.

I used a different border though, since I wasn’t a huge fan of the one that’s suggested in the pattern.

I made it in 2 rows, as follow :

1) slip stitch 2, “ch5, skip the next 3 ch, slip stitch into the next ch” repeat until you reach the middle, then ch8, slip stitch on the other side of the point, and repeat “ch5, skip the next 3 ch, slip stitch into the next ch” until you reach the last 2 stitches, then slip stitch the 2.

2) 10DC in the first ch5 space, turn around, slip stitch 2 chains (this will make you go back 2 stitches), turn your work again, “9DC in the next ch5 space, slip skip 2 stitches and slip stitch in the next chain, turn around, slip stitch 2, turn around” repeat until you reach the middle loop, 18DC in the middle loop (or as many as you need to go around), turn around, slip stitch 2, turn around, and repeat “9DC in the next ch5 space, slip skip 2 stitches and slip stitch in the next chain, turn around, slip stitch 2, turn around” until the end.
