Finally! My Cable Raglan Dress is completed. As usual, I have not been able to take “decent” pictures…The colour is actually not as dark as it appears on the pictures.

I have followed the pattern without great modifications, but I had some trouble with the short rows (back neckline). I didn’t understand the instructions well and finally decided to do the short rows my way, although I am not sure that they look ok now… but it’s too late. If I wanted to fix it, I would have to undo the whole dress, so I will leave them as they are.

I have made the sleeves longer (it is a winter dress, after all), and if I ever knit another dress like this I will make another collar; I am not 100 % convinced of how it looks.

December 17, 2012:
After some time of hesitation, I have finally removed the old collar and knitted another one. I didn’t feel comfortable with it, it was too flimsy for my taste and didn’t hold its shape.

I like the dress much better this way.

As far as the old collar is concerned, I have sewn the open sides together and converted it into a catnip pillow for my cats; they are very happy with their new toy :)
