This was love at first sight. I liked the simplicity of this top and how good it looked on the model. Although I normally prefer more challenging patterns (I don’t like knitting a whole garment in stockinette stitch) I couldn’t resist knitting this top for myself. Yes, it was a bit boring and knitting the ruffle seemed to take forever, but it was so worth it.

I followed the pattern strictly but made the body 3 cm longer, and I joined the straps of the front and the back with kitchener stitch instead of sewing them together.
