This is another of Sari Nordlund’s beautiful designs that I fell in love with immediately.

I wasn’t able to meet the gauge even with 4.5 mm needles, but I didn’t want to use thicker ones because the fabric would have been too loose. So I took a risk, chose size 2 and started knitting with 4.5 mm needles. Everything went well, but I had to knit several extra rows (I think 12?) before I could separate the sleeves from the body.

I really liked knitting this sweater; the pattern is very entertaining, so it didn’t bore me at all.

I had some problems with the neck band. The first time I knit it with 4 mm needles and it turned out huge, so I had to undo it and knit it again, this time with 3.5 mm needles.

I always struggle with the tubular bind-off. It turns out either too loose or too tight. In this case, after about three attempts I was finally satisfied with the result. It really was worth the effort.

Looking at the pictures I can see that the lower part of the pullover tends to turn to the left; I hope that a new blocking will help.
