I was desperately looking for an interesting pattern to knit with three skeins of black Wollmeise DK wool that I had in my stash, when I found this lovely design of Veera’s and immediately decided that this was it.

I couldn’t have made a better choice, as I am absolutely happy with how the pullover has turned out, despite the minor difficulties that I had at the beginning. When I was going to separate the body from the sleeves I found not only that the neck, knitted with 3 mm needles, was not wide enough for my taste, but also that the short rows of the yoke looked a bit messy. I therefore decided to start again with 3,5 mm needles and to pay special attention to making the wraps and turns tight enough.

I have used only two skeins and a little bit of the third one to knit the last ten rounds of the second sleeve (twisted ribbing).

The finished pullover seemed to be a bit short, but once washed and blocked I find that the length is acceptable.

The pattern is VERY well written and knitting this pullover wasn’t boring at all!
