I know, I know… on the pictures, Jamie Lee II looks very similar to the first one which I knitted two years ago, but actually they are not that similar. The first one is light grey and this one is more beige.

I still like the first one and wear it very often, but I knitted it in a cheap no-name cotton and after two summers it shows evident signs of wear (pilling). I like this pattern/top very much and thought that it deserved being knitted again in a “better” and a bit more expensive yarn. I opted for Rowan Lenpur Linen as I had six skeins at home and didn’t know what to knit with them. After having finished my Jamie Lee II I still have a bit less than two skeins left.

Although I am a tight knitter, I used a smaller needle size than the yarn calls for, otherwise the top would have turned out too big even in size S. I realized this when I had knitted almost 50% of the top with 4 mm needles and had to start over again. Note to self, once more: MAKE. ALWAYS. A. SWATCH.

I am happy with my Jamie Lee II and if I hadn’t so many other projects on my wish list I would knit a third one in black… perhaps I will do it next year.
