The first time I saw this beautiful sweater I fell in love with it. What a clever, interesting design!

I enjoyed knitting it, the pattern is very well written. It is clear and easy to understand.

I knew that my sweater would turn out a bit large even in the smallest size, as I used the only yarn in my stash that seemed to be suitable for this project and it was thicker than the original yarn (bulky rather than aran weight). But I am happy with the result. The first time I wore my Nuala I felt a bit strange, as if I was wearing a tent, but now I find it really comfortable.

The hem tends to roll upwards… I don’t know how I could fix this, but in this case it doesn’t bother me too much as I find that it goes well with the very relaxed look of the sweater. I am even considering knitting another one (probably next year) in another colour, but if this happens I will make sure to use a lighter weight yarn and to make longer sleeves, as I am not a fan of elbow length sleeves. Now that I know how the sweater is constructed it should be quite easy to make it with longer sleeves.
