This pullover has been laying in my closet since the day I finished it; I thought that I would never wear it.
The main mistake I made was the wool choice; soon I realized that the pullover would be very heavy and very warm, even for me (I am always cold!). But I forced myself to finish it.
Another mistake was the size. My gauge was bigger than specified, therefore I opted for the smallest size, because I didn’t want it to turn out too big. Well, the pullover fits and I can still breath in it, but I think that the next bigger size would have been better.
To my surprise, the sleeves were way too big for me even in this small size and I had to make some adjustments as I went. They are still a bit too wide in the upper part, but I didn’t want to undo and knit them again.
Today I have spontaneously decided to give it a try. I wanted to show it to my knitting group friends whom I meet every Friday and every first Saturday of the month. Their reaction has been very positive and they have encouraged me to wear it more often. I am determined to follow their advice and to accept that there are finished projects that are not perfect but that definitely deserve to be worn from time to time :)
