Notes

After finishing my Still Light Tunic (all in stockinette stitch) I really felt that I had to knit something more challenging, and I found that Tapestry could be the ideal project. With lots of cabling and some lace, I knew that it wouldn’t be boring to knit at all. I opted for a Katia Merino wool that I had in my stash. I had bought it quite a few years ago but did not know what to use it for. It was thinner than the yarn called for in the pattern, so I casted on for size 38 hoping to get a 34 and added many rows to the body and to the sleeves to achieve the desired length.

I enjoyed knitting my Tapestry cardigan and am happy with how it has turned out, although I had some problems with the sleeve caps as I didn’t manage to finish them as per the pattern’s instructions, but finally found a way to complete them. Also, I had never grafted live stitches to a cast off border, therefore I casted off the live stitches and sewed the borders and the shoulder parts together.

I had to sew on a small snap button above the first button to make the neckline look nicer.

This is such a beautiful design! I am really happy with it.
