Update (May 8th, 2015):
Almost five years later, I still wear my Thuja west with pride and joy. I am very careful with it as I want it to last as long as possible. It is one of my most treasured items made by myself.
I don’t know what to do with this project…
I found this one and this one so beautiful that I decided to knit a Thuja as well. This was about a year ago.
I love the design and I love the colours that Dagmar from Wollerey chose for me, but I find it so boring to knit all in garter stitch and I always have some trouble with the various balls in different colours that have to be used. But the main thing that prevents me from going on is my fear that it will turn out too big for me. I do not want to rib it, so I will have to give myself a push, because I hate UFOs…
1st August 2010:
I have been working on it during the last days and want to get it done now, no matter what the result is. The longer I work on it, the more I like it! Possibly I will reduce the distance between the arm holes… I will see.
28th August 2010:
I am weaving in the multiple yarn ends… what a boring job! The armholes are way too big, so I will try to make them smaller by adding a crochet border.
4th September 2010:
Finally finished! Now I have to wash and block it.
27th September 2010:
Worn for the 1st time. I am so happy to have finished it! It has turned out better than expected, but should I ever knit another one, I would make it a bit smaller.
