Notes

I can’t get the yarns listed & the images to match up, so they’re listed by brand as follows:

Pictures 1 & 2. (Feza) Because the yarn told me it wanted to be this collar. The charms were screaming that they were a perfect match. Who am I to argue?

Picture #3. (Gedifra) Because Silver goes well with gold…and it too wanted to be this collar!

Picture #4. Because I wanted something more casual. The Custom Yarn by Linda is a tape/mohair blend. Needed serious steam blocking to soften up. Worked on this on at the Guinness World Record Attempt @ Met’s Citi Field.

For all Ling’s pictured above, i used the same Grafton/Diak Crochet hook, size H.

Picture #5. The silver wrapped in the black merino/silk/nylon blend is so pretty. Unlike the other 3 pictured above, for this one I used my “H” Graydog crochet hook.

In picture #6 is the green Ling in progress, taken at my local library. The 7th picture is the finished Ling, created with sock yarn and my size “I” Apple Crochet Hook (see pic #8) made by Brainsbarn.com

In the last picture (taken on Aug 8, 2010), Springspndr and I wore our Lings to thehhcc monthly meeting. She made hers with an “F” hook, I made mine with a “K.”

My Design Changes: I omitted the beads for all of my collars, opting to use charms -- this could become another serious addiction!

In a pinch, a Ling folded in half makes a great shawlette. (Homecoming 2013)
