Held yarn doubled. Like many others I stopped knitting straight and started the decreases well before the pattern says to. I started decreasing at 17cm from the CO edge for my 25.5cm long hoofs. I am also quite wide of foot (24cm circumference at the widest part), so that might explain why these fit me so nicely.

Each bootie took one evening each, with stop/start knitting. Good use for a sturdy yarn that I find to be not very nice next to my skin. I’m very happy with these. They look rustic as hell but can’t be beat for knitting simplicity and the homespun look is part of their charm.

These are pretty much the easiest thing I have ever knit but I think they may be cursed - I can’t stop doing the Blue-Footed Boobie mating dance whilst wearing them…
