So, the recipient’s mum has permanently “borrowed” this beanie which is great because otherwise it would never get worn.
Not so great is despite my cautions and yarn care care info that I gave when giving the hat, it was put in the wash with normal laundry within weeks. It looks awful to me now. Nothing like the richly textured and well-fitting hat I made. I’ve become very careful with who I knit for.
