22.06.2011:

Finished it but I’m not 100% happy with the FO - I should have followed my instincts and used a 5mm instead of a 5.5mm. It is a bit too big - not crazy big, but not as snug as I think a beanie should be. I’ll make Wolf another, smaller hat as a surprise. I used a 5mm for the very last decrease round as I didn’t have any 5.5mm dpns.

He loves it and keeps putting it on and fiddling with the brim and fondling the Mal.

ps It is nigh on impossible to get a good photo of Pagoda.

19.06.2011:

Was going to use a 5mm needle but then reconsidered after measuring Rob’s enormous head.

He wants a large brim to be folded up knit in Pagoda, then switch to Coco until the decrease rounds - back to the Pagoda. As you wish, Wolf.

I wish I could knit everything with Mal Worsted…
