Notes

This was made in 2002 for my beautiful cat, Taulie (R.I.P. 2004). He was a pure white cat with one blue eye and one green eye. I put a little bit of soft pink into the design because of Taulie’s perfect pink nose and paw pads. And he loved the finished rug.

The name of the rug - McTaulie of Cath Geal Tartan is just a bit of fun - Cath Geal means White Cat in Scottish Gaelic (I think).

My Aunty made the crochet mesh and I made all the crochet chains and then wove them in to make the tartan. This was my first try at any sort of crochet/knitting craft.

We spent ages figuring out the design but I think it worked out great.
