08.06.2011:

Three years after I finished it, I still love it, especially as it was my first completed jumper and I still adore the colours. The comfy factor is 11 out of 10. People stop me to admire it.

I could easily have gone down a size but I think the relaxed fit suits the overall style of the hoodie and more importantly, suits me.

BUT it rolls at the hem like nobody’s business. If I had known then what I do now about exactly how much st st rolls, I would have added at least another 1 - 2 inches of ribbing.

10.10.2007:

I had finished all the front and back in the smallest size in Oct of 2006 but then frogged it in August 2007 to start again in a larger size.

04.05.2008:

I sewed on one arm during the night, as well as weaving in most of the ends… guess it is not hibernating any more. The oncoming winter seems to be a good motivator. It’s looking very pretty :)

07.05.2008:

Finished weaving in the ends last night. I know it needs a good blocking but it’s my hoodie and I’ll say it’s finished when I want to.

Title Song: Under This Moon by Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds

It’s been a pleasure, dear
To find your treasure here
And scatter it across the sand

Heaps of coins and ruby rings
And a yellow bird that sings
Songs of sorrow to your man

Well, stand back from that windowsill
I’m not holding you here against your will
Well, I’m just trying my best to heal
This crazy old wounded moon

It’s alright under this moon tonight with you, dear
It’s alright under this moon tonight

Your mouth is a crimson boat
In which my kisses float
In silence to the sea

Ah well, I love your touch
I love it very much
Deliriously

Your lover just called, he’s on the phone
I’m telling him kindly that you’re not alone
Your smiling eyes shine like precious stones
Falling from the sky

It’s alright under these stars tonight with you, baby
It’s alright under these stars tonight

Let’s get it on
And furthermore and in conjunction
And in some other time and space

Well, all joy will come
To you, to me, to everyone
Ah, babe, didn’t we have it made?

Well, love is sweet, it is agreed
As we float in the shadows of the deep
And on a bed of seaweed sleep
Among the pebbles and the sand

It’s alright under this moon tonight with you
It’s alright under this moon tonight
