Swatched for test knit. I didn’t have enough sport weight so I used KnitPicks WotA worsted instead and obtained gauge with the suggested size needles.
US#6 in texture pattern (20 sts x 36 rows)

I used 158 yds/ 71g of KnitPicks Wool of the Andes worsted (which is very close to a traditional sport weight) with size 4 and 6 needles at my regular tension, and maintained gauge.

I had so much fun knitting this pattern. It’s fast and easy…with an easy-to-memorize repeat. The cable work mixed with texture works so nicely together for all-over texture. A great pattern to knit while watching TV or socializing.

DH loves his new hat. It’s soft and squishy and oh-so-stylin.
